Sylhet is a five-to-six-hour coach run from Dhaka into tea estates, swamp forest and the north-eastern hills — the route our Toyota Coaster is booked for most often after Cox’s Bazar.
Corporate retreats to tea-valley resorts, family ziyarah trips and student tours to Ratargul, Jaflong and Bisnakandi all work better when the same AC tourist bus stays with the group instead of a public coach change in the city.
We usually quote the Coaster, with driver night stay in Sylhet so day two can start for Jaflong without re-hiring. The Civilian is possible for smaller, lighter groups.
